We see nature as the perfect creation, magnificent and fascinating. Nature is the force binding the world and its peoples together – in its beauty and in its ferocity. Indeed, the massive natural disasters of the past year must lead each of us to reconsider his relation to the forces of nature, to preserve the balance between ourselves and our environment, and the wholeness of our surroundings. Each of the six artists in the exhibit: Ronit Agassi, Boaz Arad, Karmela Berg, Tova Berlinski, Neta Dor (Lemelshtrich) and Avi Sperber, brings his or her personal expression of the cycles of nature and their reflections in the artist’s soul.
Curator: Karmela Berg.

Greetings from the Mayor of Tel Aviv-Yafo
The city of Tel Aviv-Yafo, the first
Hebrew city, is the main center of art and culture in Israel.
This unique exhibition strives to introduce
the richness and the different faces of the plastic arts in Israel. The
visitors can enjoy the variety of art works that deal with the integration of
nature and man.
The fact that Beijing is the first
international venue for this exhibition, conveys the great respect and
appreciation we have for the Chinese people and culture, and serves as a
practical expression of the ten years long friendship and cooperation agreement
between Tel Aviv-Yafo and Beijing, and of the ongoing strengthening of these
relations.
The exhibition exposes Israeli art in an
area whose international importance is growing, and establishes the standing of
Tel Aviv-Yafo as a cosmopolitan city, a bridge between east and west, and as a
catalyst of cultural, economic and scientific dialogue between the two people
and cultures.
“The Insight of Nature” is an opening for
more joint projects in the future.
Sincerely,
Ron Huldai
Mayor of Tel Aviv-Yafo
